It’s easy to make fun of things because they’re different. When Nintendo released the DS, just like the jug-eared schoolboy who’s parents couldn’t afford trousers that fit, a lot of people stood laughing and pointing.
But Nintendo hasn’t been around all this time without managing to learn a few things in the process. With the courage of their convictions the DS has gone from strength to strength and in the process transformed from its original John Merrick design into the handsome, sleek showstopper of the DS Lite (which if you really need a comparison is someone like... oh I don’t know, let’s say Brad Pitt).
